Just got back from a wonderful week in Val Cenis. From arriving to leaving everything was made easy and we were able to relax and get on with having a great holiday. The apartment was clean and well equipped. The skiing and the village were idillic. Would definitely recommend. Thank you Suzanne.

Stayed in the Au Bonheur Des Pistes which is located at the bottom end of lanslevillard right next to the main ‘Vieux Moulin’ Gondola which takes you straight up to ‘Solert’ restaurant and the heart of the main ski area. Ski school is a short drive / walk up the village (slightly up hill) to main ESF meeting point. The apartment was clean and tidy and well equipped for a self catering holiday with the added bonus of a washing machine and dish washer ! remember to bring some dishwasher tablets ! There were 6 of us, 5 adults and a teenager and the only criticism I would have would be the lack of storage space, however we managed to live out of suitcases (which from previous experiences of French ski apartments is fairly typical !) and it didn’t really cause us any problems. Main double bedroom had storage cupboard and room to move around bed, small bunk room had twin bunk and some cupboard space – sliding door to main sitting room. Sitting room has ample space for 6 to sit /eat and pull out bed was easy to use and surprising comfortable ! We had a great time in Val Cenis which is our second visit in a year, it is truly a hidden gem that only the French know about (there good at hiding their treasures !) good skiing for all abilities and when the conditions allow the off-piste is excellent ! Don’t expect a party town though – nightlife if quiet and typically French ! Prices are much cheaper than the big resorts and it is still possible to eat reasonably ! fully recommend ‘Le Tetras Lyre’ which is a wonderful little restaurant located in Val Cenis LeHaut (up a slight hill by main gondola in LeHaut) Lamb Cutlets Chips and Salad for 13 euro. I would also like to thank Suzanne and Michelle for making our stay so enjoyable, we really needed someone to talk to on the last day when our teenager fell and cracked his head on ice (with helmet on) resulting in a trip to Saint Jean Hospital – Suzanne was a superstar in helping get all the equipment back to the hire shop and helping get the skis released from the piste patrol ! One thing worth mentioning is that trying to get away at 9 am on the Sat was tricky with everyone else having the same idea and when they say ‘tidy the room’ they mean ‘TIDY THE ROOM’ we consider ourselves to be very conscientious when tidying and were mortified to be told that the room wasn’t tidy !! basically they expect the room to have all the blankets laid out on each bed and not a spot of water on the floor (not easy when it was snowing !) remember they hold your deposit and they won’t release it until they have inspected which at a busy time is not easy – We lost approx ¾ hour due to this ! Overall great holiday and we will be back!

"We cannot recommend enough our wonderful Ski holiday arranged with Val Cenis Apartment Rentals. Suzanne and Michelle were on hand to answer the numerous questions we had and sort out any last minute glitches. The Apartments were ideally suited for families with a fully equipped kitchen and large bathroom. The Telecabin is quite literally next door to the Apartments, making life a lot easier if you have young children. The Skiing is great and suitable for beginners and for the more experienced Skier. We will definitely make it back next year."
